Nigel Farage really didn’t like Nick Robinson bringing up his general election disasters
Nigel Farage is speaking to anyone and everyone, at the moment, in his crusade to turn his own banking woes into a national crisis.
We presume we don’t need to go into details, since the story has filled front pages and broadcast hours far more than the facts warrant.
Hello and welcome to the UK, where people can’t afford to live. If you’re just joining us we are in week four of discussing our top story: Nigel Farage might have to bank at Halifax.

Can’t be arsed to turn on the TV this morning…
Don’t fancy seeing Farage’s face across wall-to-wall news
Maybe give me a nudge when Wootton’s face is all over it instead
…we’re waiting.

The next time someone talks about the UK's 'liberal media establishment' remind them of the time that almost every news organisation in the country spent an entire month talking about little else but Nigel Farage being asked to switch his bank account.

Please can we hear more about Nigel Farage today?

As you might expect Nigel Farage and his banking woes are the big story out here in Greece. All over the news. Strangers stopping me in the street to ask if Nigel is OK and whether he has managed to open a new account.

BREAKING: Buckingham Palace sources confirm King Charles considering abdicating over Nigel Farage banking scandal.

Luckily for Farage, the government is playing along with his handy diversion.
Rishi Sunak has been more vocal in Nigel Farage’s banking situation than he was about Boris Johnson misleading Parliament

He spoke to BBC R4’s Today programme, where Nick Robinson made a reference to the Brexiter’s record in general elections. He wasn’t happy. He wasn’t happy at all.
Nigel Farage really didn't like it when Nick Robinson pointed out that he had ran 7 times to become an MP & lost 7 times. 🤣

‘Mr. Farage, you know, pretty much whatever you do, there are people saying “I know what this is about. He wants to get back into politics again.”
And I know you’ve run seven times and lost seven times, but are you …’
‘I’m really not going to have this. I’m sick to death of your condescending tone.’
There was very little sympathy for Farage on Twitter, and even less from accounts with names that didn’t end in a bunch of numbers.

Presume Nick Robinson and the entire BBC must be sacked immediately too? https://t.co/rw13JuSxde

funny how people who like to say they ‘tell it like it is’ don’t like it when other people ‘tell it like it is’ https://t.co/vEBP2jrcNw

Pathetic really. Now he’s a kind of Joan of Arc/Guevara figure for people disgruntled with their banks. Farage against the Machine FFS. I’ve seen thicker skin on my fucking cocoa than this man has. What a sad little pillock. https://t.co/3zvojcRgDY

Not just lost 7 times but once to a Dolphin.
Hopefully we can get back to the important news very soon.
You know like the Cost of Living Crisis, The NHS, the world climate & what the Tories are up to behind all this noise. https://t.co/t0QlBGNzvx— 🏁Mrs Nash 🏁 💙 🇺🇦 (@HalcyonNash) July 26, 2023

No idea why the BBC feel the need to give him all this time when there are real issues like people starving or a rogue Prime Minister to talk about.
But nevertheless, always good to remind Farage what a pathetic loser he is https://t.co/uMrOGUgbAG

“I was grifting for a job and then I found a job… and Seven knows I’m miserable now…”
If the only good thing Nick Robinson ever does is point out to Nigel Farage that he’s a professional loser of 7 elections then that’s good enough for me #r4today

He claims to be a man of the people – it's only fair to remind him the 'people' have rejected him 7 times.
— kam bharath (@KamBharath) July 26, 2023
Unfortunately, the outburst achieved its objective.
So now Nick Robertson lets Farage get away with painting himself as a crusader for the little people who don't get bank accounts. It's tiring how noone seems to have the guts to stand up to this bully.
