We regret to inform you that Elon Musk is gunning for Twitter’s block function – 22 best reactions
Just when you think Elon Musk has damaged Twitter as much as he can, along comes another of his bright ideas which seem less ‘back of an envelope’ kind of planning and more ‘from brain to internet in 0.5 seconds’.
This time, he replied to a question about whether block is necessary with this almost certainly off-the-cuff comment.
Tweeters with privileges added some context.
Adam Bienkov elaborated on the fly in Musk’s ointment.

With very few exceptions, tweeters were not happy.

The Block is 100% a necessary feature. Why would @elonmusk remove it? Muting doesn’t provide the same level of abuse-removal. What’s his motive? https://t.co/bNlxbVxQrE

Removing Block because someone truly determined could find a way to see your content anyway is like removing the locks from your door because someone could just show up with a battering ram and twenty stout Roman Hastati.
