The hilarious twist in the tail of this use for an old mobile phone box is simply magnificent

It all started when @ronnui_ jokingly espoused the benefits of hanging on to your mobile phone box over on Twitter.

Idk what people are telling you but I personally think it’s really cool and smart of you to hold onto the box your cellphone came in for two years in case of a scenario that you came up with in your head that has never occurred in real life

And it prompted more than a few people to leap to the defence of hanging onto a box, with real-life examples of when they actually did come in useful. Not always phone boxes, though.

Man bought a shower mixer hose that pushes onto taps. Box said guaranteed for 10 years. A week short of 10 years, it split. HE STILL HAD THE BOX AND RECEIPT. took it back to the shop and they honoured it and gave him a new one!!
