You won’t believe what $2,500 rent per month will get you in New York (or what it won’t)

If you’ve ever watched TV shows set in New York – and who hasn’t? – you could be forgiven for thinking everyone lives in super-stylish massive apartments, even if they’re in insecure employment …or none.

The @rentnewyork TikTok account does, indeed, feature some very stylish and occasionally spacious properties, but others wouldn’t be the best place for the American Society of Cat Swingers* to hold their monthly meetings.

*Not a real society

For example, this modern but miniscule apartment is what $2,500 per month will get you in Hell’s Kitchen.

The size – or lack of it – led to quite a few questions and comments.

It’s not an apartment. It’s a ROOM.
