Eddy Grant’s face being asked nonsense by Richard Madeley is all of us

You’ll already be painfully familiar with the resemblance between Alan Partridge and Richard Madeley, but the Good Morning Britain presenter surely doesn’t come much more cringeworthy than this.

It’s his interview with singer Eddy Grant on Tuesday’s edition of the ITV breakfast show, when the line of questioning went wrong on so many levels we don’t know where to start. And the look on Grant’s face surely speaks for all of humanity.

@GMB lovely to see Eddie Grant on TV this morning he looks so well. Note to Richard Madeley, the use of the word “dirt poor” is very disrespectful hence Eddie was visually offended. Poor is acceptable, but dirt poor? No, not acceptable.
