Larry and Paul’s Broken News update on support for Brexit is a satirical gem
Before his landslide victory in 2019, one of Boris Johnson‘s main campaign points was that he would get Brexit done so that we could all stop talking about it and get on with other things.
Here’s how that worked out for him – and the rest of us.
Brexit feels like a constant gaslighting exercise.
Every single day, we're being told to ignore the clear problems it is causing.
Every single day, we're being told it will bring benefits that can't be defined yet, or seized yet, but one day…
Now 2,618 days and counting.

We have been warning of inevitable food crisis for years.
Brexit is mostly to blame for alarming reality of 🇬🇧 food system.
Ukraine war and climate events were all realities we warned could happen in advent of leaving the EU.
Govt have ignored warnings and food is in crisis. pic.twitter.com/YxbsfHWdqe

British air passengers losing customer rights is classic Brexit. A promise is made that no rights will be lost – if anything they’ll get upgraded! – and then, in the end, British citizens lose out, deprived of their former rights.

Four PMs have tried to make Brexit work!
Lots of measures delayed!
No benefits only losses.

However, a Broken News report delivered by the wonderful Larry and Paul – Larry Budd and Paul Dunphy – explains that everybody is now fully on board with Brexit.
‘The unbiased study, published across thirty pages of today’s Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph, The Sun, Daily Express and The Beano, said Brexit was incredible and sexy.’
Here’s what people had to say after seeing the sketch on Twitter.

Obviously, the quality publication was the clincher.
I had my doubts but with it being published in 'The Beano" clinched it for me👌😊😎
