This well-intentioned Twin Peaks fan was a classic of the fabulous ‘don’t you know who I am?’ genre

There’s a whole genre of very funny exchanges called ‘don’t you know who I am?’ which, as the name suggests, is full of people not realising who they’re talking to is who or what they’re talking about.

And this is a classic of the genre, a very well-intentioned Twin Peaks fan who wanted to share his enthusiasm for the David Lynch classic with someone else who appeared to be really into it judging by all the books he’d written.

Except it turned out Mark Frost, who co-created, co-wrote and co-executive produced the series with Lynch, didn’t need to watch a YouTuber’s 4.5 hour Twin Peaks explainer.

Mega oof. No doubt @luukki knew exactly who Frost was, but people weren’t sure asking the question was the best idea …

And it reminded people of this all time classic from back in the day.

If you fancy a deep dive into Twin Peaks yourself (and you’re neither Mark Frost nor David Lynch), find it on YouTube over here.

And follow Mark Frost on Twitter here!

Last word to @luukki who posted the original question and was taking the whole thing with good humour.

Indeed, and we’re always a fan of anyone who’s a fan of Twin Peaks …
