Simon Brodkin’s imagined conversation with a 23rd-century Brit hilariously highlights the ridiculous times we live in
The Royal Variety Show is a star-studded event that raises money for charity and is watched by millions of people. This year’s performers included Cher, Paloma Faith, Rosie Jones and McFly, with Bradley Walsh hosting.
It also saw comedian Simon Brodkin have the audience, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, in stitches with his imagined conversation between himself and a Brit in the year 2284.
Here’s how that went.
Simon Brodkin, "What year is it?"
Future Man "2284"
SB, "OMG, was Brexit a success?"
FM, "Too early to tell"
SB, "HS2?"
FM, "Almost finished"

There’s never a bad time to look back at when Simon crashed the Tory Party Conference and handed Theresa May her P45.
