People replied to the royals’ apology on Twitter as if it was really Kate Middleton and it took it to a whole new level
You’ll already know – of course you will! – all about the ‘manipulated’ royal photo of Kate Middleton and her family and the Princess of Wales subsequent admission that it was her wot dun it.
Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the last two months.
Wishing everyone a Happy Mother’s Day. C

We mention it again – again! – because the funniest bit of HRH’s entirely unexpected fondness for Adobe Photoshop was the number of people in the replies responding as if it was actually Middleton who had sent it (and would presumably read their replies).
Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C

And it took the whole thing to yet another new level.
1.
Someone in your press office/PR department needs a very constructive 1-2-1 or end of year review. This has, in absolutely no way whatsoever, made this bizarre situation any better.

No apology need it. Every picture has some type of editing, and these people are out for a witch hunt. You focus on healing, and the media can seriously go away. Please don’t provide them with any more pictures of your children. Post it just on your social media pages.

It’s sad that they have made you take the fall for this. This is just bizarre.

No apologies needed. Your fans knew. The witch hunt came from a certain camp. We have your back

But didn’t William take the photo?
Also you shouldn’t even be doing that due to the abdominal surgery.

It was a beautiful photo and all the hub-bub about it is silly!
I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s day!
