Videos lidl Newsnight Rachel Johnson
Rachel Johnson said she was attacked in a supermarket ‘and it wasn’t even Lidl’ and got all the responses she deserved
It surely goes without saying but we’re going to say it anyway, there’s nothing big or clever about throwing things at politicians.
And neither, obviously, do we condone the incident that Rachel Johnson is talking about on Newsnight here. But there was something about the way she framed it that sent it viral.
See if you can spot it …
Rachel Johnson: “I mean I was attacked in Sainsbury’s, that’s what really surprised me. I was thinking, in Sainsbury’s, you know, it wasn’t even Lidl”#newsnight pic.twitter.com/tw5MilVIww

Rarely is so much revealed in so few words (maybe not revealed, just confirmed, but you get our drift).
And it got just the responses it deserved.
Yes Lidl is like the royal rumble, we just walk through the doors and start battering each other with the freshly made baguettes or using a sack of potatoes to swing at the nearest person or driving the trolley at people like I was Rikishi running over Stone cold.
Savages

I never want to hear from any member of this revolting, nation-damaging family ever again. https://t.co/P785vFEAx1

Hold my quinoa! The horror of being attacked in Sainsburys when you’d only expect it to be the clientele of Lidl that would attack!

But she’d obviously have been safe in Lidl because none of us can read or afford televisions to recognise her and we have our flat caps tugged down anyway so wouldn’t even see her. https://t.co/nwpmYm8Dh0

The detachment from reality is both astounding and disturbing.

Just putting it out there but I absolutely love shopping @LidlGB. Their baked goods are too good and I’ve never once been in a fight there https://t.co/SRW2KSQr4U

‘Wasn’t even Lidl’
Where, presumably, you’d naturally expect to be attacked at every turn by the savages roaming each bargainous aisle, frothing at the mouth on the look out for anyone who might be fortunate enough to usually frequent a higher echelon of supermarket. https://t.co/olIJAh1xdX

FFS! Apart from the arrogance & class prejudice, my question: why is Rachel Johnson EVEN on #newsnight? Has it really become a light entertainment programme?

In short …
A comment dripping with elitist arrogance.
