In ‘Look at me, I’m the man of the people’ news, a clip shared by Nigel Farage seemed to suggest a spontaneous round of Rule Britannia had broken out in celebration of England’s Euros performance.

As if that, in itself, wasn’t a funny enough concept for anyone who watched the match, the action on the TV in the background trampled all over the faux patriotism.
