Only one more week of campaigning to go before the nation goes to the polls and it’s fair to say it hasn’t gone entirely to plan for the beleaguered prime minister Rishi Sunak.

About the only good thing that’s happened for Sunak is that he didn’t get his wish of debating with Keir Starmer every single week. It might have finished him off.
