This ‘making of a Vienetta’ video is surely the most deliciously satisfying thing you’ll watch today

The British summer has finally arrived and just in time for Glastonbury. Nice. See you there? No, us neither.

And if you’re feeling just a little bit hot and bothered then this is surely the one minute respite you need right now.

It all started when the estimable @SoozUK posted this tribute to the great Viennetta.

I first saw a Viennetta round Karen Waddington’s house when I was 7. I thought it was the poshest thing I’d EVER seen.

On my most recent trip to America I discovered that Viennetta is advertised as a semi-luxury thing and priced as such. It’s not THE most expensive ice cream, but pretty high.

While in the UK it’s one of the cheapest-per-kilo brands you can buy. About a fifth of the US price.
