Politics election lbc nick ferrari
This phone-in caller’s immaculate Rishi Sunak kitchen fitter comparison struck a chord with the entire internet
If you only listen to one phone-in caller today then make it this one, a man who rang LBC’s Nick Ferrari today with a kitchen fitted comparison for Rishi Sunak and it’s a minute or so well spent.
He’s called Philip and he’s from Sandhurst and he had the entire internet – well, quite a few people, anyway – nodding vigorously away in agreement.
“He’s up to his knees in water, none of the cabinets are done, the doors are falling off…”
Caller Philip has a relatable analogy to illustrate the choice at the election.
He tells @NickFerrariLBC it’s time to ‘open the Yellow Pages and get someone else in’. pic.twitter.com/gv5HdwJnx6

And here are just a few of the many things people said in response.
Philip hits the nail on the head.
“You’re having your kitchen refitted… the bloke’s a little fella & his trousers are too short.. “#LBC pic.twitter.com/v0AdpVY0p0

An accurate understanding of the current gov’t.
“The van broke down. Stuff wasn’t delivered. He’s got a bad knee. That’s the Conservative gov’t. Nothing is their fault… There comes a time when you say: Look, mate, I’m sorry, pack your tools up, I’m gonna get someone else.” ~AA https://t.co/MIP5kc9Jfi

Get Philip to replace Nick on this show.
How calmly, yet destructively, did he dismantle Nick’s attempt to support the Tories

Absolute genius!
Why can’t Labour, with all their communications people, summarise what the Tories have done over 14 years as brilliantly as Philip from Sandhurst? https://t.co/UL9q9tG2tx

To add to the analogy, the little kitchen fitter has sold off bits of your kitchen to his mates in dodgy deals!

It’s easy to go a bit overboard with the old analogies but this one stands up pretty well for me me. Despite Nick Ferrari’s best efforts to excuse the ‘kitchen fitter’.#GeneralElection2024 https://t.co/ZWcgE8WvRz

My favourite moment of the election so far. Genuinely hilarious, and kudos to Ferrari to joining the brilliant analogy.
