At home (Navan), someone was “rotten” drunk. In Dublin, I heard fluthered, stocious, tanked. My favourite always was my Dad referring to someone being “Balubas”, but that implied more than just drunk, involved messiness, maybe punches thrown – like a second stage of drunkenness
