JD Vance said Denmark was ‘not a good ally’ and no ‘screaming Europeans’ would stop the US taking Greenland – 17 properly shocked responses
It appears that nothing – not even the prospect of somehow making Canada the 51st state of America – will deflect the White House from its stated intention to take control of Greenland. By any means necessary, by the looks of it.
Because when we say ‘stated intention’ the bit they are saying out loud gets more threatening – and frankly more terrifying – with each passing day.
Here is Donald Trump’s VP JD Vance – you remember – basically saying the US was going to take it whether they – or anyone else – liked it or not.
Truly remarkable with Vice President JD Vance saying that “is not a good ally” and indicates will do whatever with in spite of “the screaming of the Europeans”. pic.twitter.com/Pw6hqiDQNV

Amazing how the extraordinary can quickly become the ordinary, although no-one should let what Vance is saying here become anything like ordinary.
And these 17 responses surely say it all.

Denmark sent 18,000 soldiers to Afghanistan to fight alongside the US and had the second highest per capita casualties after the US, with 43 fatalities from a country of fewer than 6 million people. https://t.co/QFS1gBWZro

This might be the moment historians point to as the turning point—the beginning of the end of American global leadership.

Truly remarkable—and by remarkable, we mean embarrassing.
Imagine calling Denmark “not a good ally” while threatening to do whatever you want with Greenland, as if it’s some empty piece on a board game. This isn’t diplomacy—it’s colonial cosplay.
JD Vance is confirming what the…

Absolutely deranged take from JD Vance.
Calling Denmark “not a good ally” while dismissing Europe’s concerns about Greenland like some colonial overlord from 1890?
This is a conditioning for Greenland takeover, mark my words. pic.twitter.com/hzBsa7feJz

If they’re willing to attack Canada & Denmark, nobody should expect them to honour Article 5 and defend Europe from russia.
