James O’Brien on Donald Trump’s ‘playing dumb’ response to the White House leak scandal is 90 seconds exceptionally well spent
As no-one anywhere needs reminding anymore, the only story in town today is the extraordinary White House security failure in which a journalist became part of a group chat about impending US military action.
There were 18 senior members of Trump’s administration in the discussion around secret military plans for recent US attacks on the Houthi armed group in Yemen. Oh, and journalist Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor-in-chief of the Atlantic Magazine.
When Trump was asked about he simply denied all knowledge and used his exceptionally tiresome and well-worn tactic of criticising the media instead.
We’ve written about it here but we return to it again because LBC presenter James O’Brien shared his thoughts on Trump’s response and it’s 90 seconds exceptionally well spent.
