US donald trump vladimir putin
Trump told NBC he’s ‘pissed off’ at Putin for stalling on a Ukraine ceasefire, and the band played Believe It If You Like
In more ‘Sure. Jan’ news from the White House, Donald Trump claims to be ‘pissed off’ with Vladimir Putin for dragging his feet over a ceasefire with Ukraine. Trump has even gone so far as to suggest he might impose tariffs on Russian oil if Putin doesn’t come around to his way of thinking.
His language wasn’t anything that might put the fear of God into his good mate Vlad.
“If Russia and I are unable to make a deal on stopping the bloodshed in Ukraine and I think it was Russia’s fault, which it might not be – but if I think it was, I am going to put secondary tariffs on oil. On all oil coming out of Russia.”
Putin must be trembling in his boots at the thought of Donald Trump just maybe possibly putting a tariff on Russian oil if he decides that something that may not be Putin’s fault is Putin’s fault at some unspecified point in the future. He could not be clearer. Possibly.
Anyway – let’s see what people think of all this fighting talk.

Hey cheetoh pretty sure putin doesn't give two fucks about tariffs or sanctions. Russia's entire economy has been turned into a wartime economy. Bro isn't stopping. Good thing we just pissed off all our allies.
Russia played the United states. Trump has turned us into a joke. pic.twitter.com/krl8X6ZdXl

Donald Trump telling Meet the Press’ Kristen Welker that he’s “pissed off” at Putin and threatening secondary tariffs on Russian oil is comical.
Also, him saying “if I think it is Russia’s fault, which it might not be” is a joke.

So Trump is now “very angry, pissed off” with his boss in the Kremlin.
Has he just realised Putin has been humiliating America and playing him for a fool?
Too bad.

Trump does this every few weeks not to look like the russian asset he is. Nothing he says should be taken seriously before it is followed by actions https://t.co/fgjkouTBJZ

Oh, and just how much would tariffs on Russian oil cost in the US?
This doesn't mean Jack.
According to Elon's Grok,
direct oil purchases from Russia are currently minimal—effectively near zero in 2025.
$0 dollars in imports x's 25% tariff = (wait for it)… ($0.00) https://t.co/sFAiKOF30d— Christopher Gibbs (@ChrisRGibbs) March 30, 2025
