Humberside Police Ask Applicants To Include Selfie For Deputy Chief Constable Job
A police force recruiting a new deputy chief constable has been criticised for asking candidates to send in a “selfie” in order to apply for the job, reports ITV.
An advert for the £117,000-a-year job tells potential applicants to send a selfie photograph in order to receive an application pack, reports the Hull Daily Mail.
Chief Constable at Humberside Police, Justine Curran, says the unusual idea has come about because it is “vital” candidates show they can operate modern technology.
Sadly the police didn’t specify if applicants are allowed to use a selfie stick.
