Millionaire father hires Derren Brown to help get his kids to sleep

Bedtime News: A millionaire hedge fund manager has paid celebrated hypnotist Derren Brown an undisclosed sum to accompany his family on a two-week holiday.

Lloyd Hudson, who made millions in the hotel industry before going on to lead one of the world’s largest hedge funds, told Forbes magazine that he had the idea one evening while struggling to get his three young children to sleep.

“I said to my wife Mary, ‘I wish Derren Brown was here, then he could just click his bloody fingers’. We both looked at each other. It was one of those light bulb moments.”

Brown travelled with the family to Gstaad in Switzerland, providing entertainment for the family as well as ‘instant bedtime’.

“Derren’s a great guy and we all had a lot of fun’, said Mr. Hudson. “He taught my wife and I a few tricks that have already proved to be invaluable. Let me tell you, if you can make your kids think a bowl of vegetables is a bar of chocolate, then responsible parenting just got a whole lot easier.”
