Watch New Zealand’s Economic Minister get hit in the face with a flying dildo
An angry protester threw a dildo at the face of a high-profile New Zealand politician during a TV interview on Friday.
The pink sex toy bounced off Economic Development Minister Steven Joyce’s shoulder as he spoke to journalists on New Zealand’s North Island.
A protester flung the dildo at him, shouting “That’s for raping our sovereignty.”
“Fair to say I don’t think those sorts of things happen every day,” Joyce told TVNZ. “New experiences in politics every day; it’s the privilege of serving.”
The Minister has now been fondly re-named ‘Dildo Baggins’ by New Zealanders.
The bizarre scene is even better when remixed to New Order’s Blue Monday.
The minister issued a challenge to John Oliver to feature it. Ten days later, the comedian has come through.
perfect…

He told reporters on Tuesday that Oliver had “outdone himself”, and that he did not think any harm had been done to New Zealand’s international image: “You’ve got to be able to take a joke in politics … Hopefully he’s got it out of his system.”
Well that was actually pretty funny
