Trump gets a Mexican makeover for new charity project
Online fashion site Lyst, has transformed presidential hopeful Donald Trump into three of the victims of his more ferocious attacks during the US presidential campaign.
Following Trump’s comments during the final presidential debate in which he reiterated his plan to build a wall and deport illegal immigrants declaring: “we have some BAD HOMBRES here and we’re going to get them out”
The Donald has been given a satirical ‘BAD HOMBRE’ Mexican makeover, turning his outlandish comments squarely on his newly appointed sombrero.
The second design sees Mr Trump reimagined as a ‘Beauty Queen’ after lashing out at Hillary Clinton and for his repeated attacks on former Miss Universe Alicia Machado for gaining a ‘massive amount of weight’ nicknaming her ‘Miss Piggy’.
In the final design, Trump is turned Chinese after months of repeated attacks accusing China of destroying the US economy and inventing climate change.
Proceeds from the BAD HOMBRES range will be donated to Equality Now – an international human rights organization dedicated to creating a more just world where women and girls have the same rights as men and boys.
The collection continues a long tradition of fashion industry protests over the years, from models stripping off to campaign against people wearing fur, Katharine Hamnett’s ’80s slogan T-shirts, to Pussy Riot.
Lyst CMO Christian Woolfenden said: “We wanted to take some of the stereotypes Donald Trump has been peddling and turn them on their head. Then we thought – why not turn them on Trump’s head? The T-shirts are tongue in cheek but the message goes to the heart of what we believe in – there is no place for racism in society and you stereotype people at your peril.”
The unisex T-shirts are available here
