The makers of Black Mirror confirm they’re not responsible for the US election result

Charlie Brooker‘s darkly humorous series Black Mirror portrays the world we inhabit in a twisted way, which is not necessarily a million miles from reality as witnessed by #piggate. In light of the election of Donald Trump to the position of President Elect of the USA, they felt it necessary to ensure that nobody thought it was just a massive publicity stunt for a tie-in episode of the programme.

This isn't an episode. This isn't marketing. This is reality.

But @JackDeeth refused to accept it.

“No, you’ve orchestrated this, it’s all a publicity stunt for Season 4. Right? Haha. You’re very good. Haha. Stop it now please.”
