Michael Gove mocked for Donald Trump “thumbs up” photo
Thumbs up! I’ve just met Donald Trump!
Michael Gove’s lickspittle interview with the president-elect of the United States culminated in the pair posing for the camera, thumbs aloft, in front of a copy of Playboy magazine.
Trump appears to prefer the thumbs up to a good old-fashioned handshake. Well, he DID say he was a germaphobe.
As if Gove – Brexiteer cheerleader and failed Tory leadership wannabe – wasn’t going to get enough abuse on Twitter anyway, the thumbs up picture sealed it.

Was told that you look a fool if you do thumbs up in a photo.Turns out if you do it next to a racist who hates women you look even worse https://t.co/RUOtqSijmE

Unfortunately for Gove he didn’t get to pose like Nigel Farage with Trump in a gold lift. But was he aware of what was actually behind him? (Clue – it’s over Gove’s left shoulder).

Others said the pair looked eerily familiar.

As for the interview itself, it was a “stream of hot nonsense”, according to @SimonNRicketts who said he “talks like a teenager at the dinner table who’s texting at the same time”.
You can see what he means.

But one person thought it was a great interview and had no complaints about the picture.
Great interview in The Times with @realDonaldTrump. No surprises but serious opportunities. — Nigel Farage (@Nigel_Farage) 16 January 2017
