Jam today? Empty Waitrose jam jar costs more than full one
At £2 a pop, this empty jam jar on sale in Waitrose isn’t much of a bargain. Especially when you can get a very similar looking jam jar – full of jam – for £1.71. It’s even got the same lid!
At @waitrose you can buy an empty jam jar for £2 or an identical one full of jam for £1.71. You decide… pic.twitter.com/2Ac4qaUlfw

Turns out some people on Twitter would still buy the two quid one.

@Mrjj321Matt well spotted. One has jam in it and the other doesn't 😉

Here’s the final word.
@karnag @waitrose yeah, but add on the extra cost of hiring a cleaner to eat the jam then wash out the dirty jar and its true price is £5.
