When the King was bumped off to meet The Times’ print deadline

What we learned from today’s Guardian – the ailing King George V was basically bumped off by his doctor so he’d die in time for The Times newspaper print deadline.

What a way to go though, eh?

Still, with the internet and everything putting paid to print deadlines, it’s one less thing for the Queen to worry about.
