German far right party tells voters to ‘take your country back’ – posts picture of Swiss mountain by mistake
Germany’s far-right AfD (Alternatives for Germany) tweeted that voters should “Take your country back” while using a picture of the Matterhorn in Switzerland, reports CNN.
The particular tweet has since been deleted, but the picture and “take your country back” message has been used in other tweets from the same account.

“This is the Matterhorn, morons full” is how that got automatically translated, and frankly “morons full” might become our new favourite saying.
Sadly the AfD still have a long way to go when it comes to making huge errors in campaign ads – our own beloved UKIP still takes some beating, like this election leaflet that managed to spell “Cambridgeshire” wrong.
It wasn’t the first time they couldn’t spell the consistency they were standing in.
