Jeremy Hunt talks about childhood obesity in Britain while wearing a Tate & Lyle lanyard

So much for the sugar tax then – Jeremy Hunt spoke at the Conservative Party Conference about how there is a ‘lot more to do’ to tackle childhood obesity in Britain – while wearing a lanyard bearing the name of US sugar company Tate & Lyle, who are sponsoring the event.

Others pointed out that Tate & Lyle actually import sugar into the UK.

Maybe we should try the Italian way of warning parents that sugary drinks make kids fat…
