Fox News booked the wrong person for a live interview and it went as disastrously as you’d expect
The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement team (ICE) has come under severe criticism for carrying out the policy of separating children from their parents when they’re picked up at the border. At a debate in Arizona, one lone Democratic candidate, Ann Kirkpatrick, discussed her support for the agency – and was booed.
President Trump’s favourite news outlet, Fox News, decided to interview her on air about her departure from Democratic norms, but they booked another congressional hopeful, Barbara L’Italien, who had something very different to say about ICE. This is what happened.

Senator L’Italien tweeted about the bizarre mishap.
As the state senator from a strong immigrant community where people are living in fear, this morning I took an opportunity to amplify their voices directly to @realDonaldTrump the only place where I knew he would be listening – Fox News: https://t.co/b8RW2QyntL. #ma3 #mapoli

A spokesperson for Fox News told the Washington Post that the senator had failed to idicate that she was the wrong person at any time before the interview, to which she replied
“I showed the exact same commitment to the truth and accuracy that Fox News always has.”
As good as it is to see anyone ruining Fox News’ pro-Trump rhetoric, nothing can claim to be as epic as this notorious case of mistaken identity.
