Russian oligarch Alexander Lebedev, owner of the Evening Standard and The Independent punches billionaire Sergei Polonsky face during a television debate on the financial crisis to being aired on russian tv.

The newspaper baron, and former KGB agent, said that he had been reacting to Polonsky’s threatening manner and was quoted as saying: “In a critical situation, there is no choice. I see no reason to be hit with the first shot. I neutralised him.”
