People are enjoying why this conspiracy theorist thought the FBI were bugging the Republicans
The American midterm elections are over but the controversy rumbles on, and it’s not all to do with Donald Trump.
Right-wing conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer, who describes herself as an investigative journalist ‘unverified for speaking the truth’, suspected the FBI may have been illicitly monitoring this Republican Party meeting. And this is why.
Was the @FBI surveilling the official Minnesota GOP watch party last night?
Multiple attendees reported that their cell reception was jammed, & one attendee said a WiFi network called “FBI surveillance van” popped up on his phone.
Was there a threat? What is the FBI hiding?

Hmmm. Are you going to tell her, or are we? Actually, we’ll let Richard Bacon do it instead.
It would make be so happy to think a covert FBI surveillance van called their localized WiFi network ‘FBI surveillance van’. And I’d really like to be at the meeting where the surveillance team had to explain how people knew they were there. But on balance, this story seems… https://t.co/9aoqdgdXuL

Oh, and these people.
You know that’s a common joke WiFi name, right?
— Will Sommer (@willsommer) November 8, 2018
Yes. Because the @fbi names their discoverable WiFi ‘FBI surveillance Van’ 🙄WTAF?

Bahahahaha- yeah, that’s *definitely* what the FBI would call their super secret WiFi password they use when surveilling.

Imagine being so dumb that you'd think an FBI surveillance van would name it's wifi "FBI surveillance van" https://t.co/x77MdArFmt

Except some people thought it might be an ingenious double bluff.
That's the genius of the whole thing. Nobody would ever suspect.

Investigative journalist you say?

And if you think the name Laura Loomer might be familiar, you’d be right. She’s also the person who wrote this.
If you have a son, make sure you buy him a note pad, a body camera, & a recording device. Get him a battery pack too so he can always protect himself with video evidence of every single encounter he has with a woman.
Men aren’t safe in America anymore.
There is a war on men.
