There’s a theory about Boris Johnson’s model bus nonsense and it will blow your mind
You can’t failed to have read about Boris Johnson’s weird hobby of making buses out of old boxes for fun.
It prompted no shortage of comment, including this – our very favourite – from BBC News man, Simon McCoy.

But speculation about what on earth the PM wannabe was wanging on about took a darker turn when it was suggested there was method in Johnson’s madness. And it was this …
24 hours ago, if you Googled “Boris Bus” or checked out a #BorisBus hashtag you’d get the photo of him in front of the bus with the “We give £350m per week to the EU, Let’s spend that on the NHS” lie on it.

See what he’s done here?
And maybe it’s all down to Lynton Crosby, the man who helped mastermind David Cameron’s 2015 election win and has now been hired by Johnson.
OMG. I can’t believe I’ve only just realised this..Lynton Crosby is a genius. And we have all been played like fucking fools. pic.twitter.com/9FqeeEBv5M

You have to include “Brexit” to find the correct photos. pic.twitter.com/Pf34JBO38M

Yes, literally the point. He’s managed to skew the google search.

Chapeau, Crosby. You’ve killed Boris’s Big Lying Brexit Bus. I guess it’s why those secret donors pay you the big £££ pic.twitter.com/r92auL40tC

Just in the interests of balance and all that, not everyone was buying it.
Can we not do this, please? If anything, the “I paint buses” story only reasserted Johnson’s association with the £350m bus lie. Hence all the jokes about it on twitter. This is a very silly conspiracy theory https://t.co/Eit6M1MxtK

Hmm. Maybe.
Smacking myself in the face for not spotting what that Johnson nonsense about making buses was all about: Google search now gives you the model bus bollox rather than the £350m NHS bus bollox #BorisBus pic.twitter.com/AW2kFCFuDa
