This thread about the Paris Olympics logo went viral because it’s totally spot on
They’ve unveiled the logo for the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics and very lovely it is too.
🥇🔥🇫🇷
La médaille, la flamme, Marianne.
Voici le nouveau visage des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de #Paris2024The medal, the flame, Marianne

The new design ‘at once depicts the Olympic flame within a gold medal, and the hair and lips of Marianne – the personification of the French Republic since the 1789 revolution’, reports the BBC.
But even better than that explanation was this thread, by Megan Clement, which went wildly viral because it’s funny and clever in equal measure (that measure being ‘a lot’). And there replies made it even better.
The French Olympic logo tumbles out of bed on a Parisian morning. She tousles her messy bob, dons breton stripes and ballet flats and whisks down the stairs from her fifth-floor apartment to grab a baguette before enigmatically texting two men who are pursuing her romantically. pic.twitter.com/5R2PVaXaa6

The French Olympic logo has an expresso and a cigarette for lunch. She hops on a vintage bicycle and pedals past the Eiffel Tower on her way to a café where she will sit and read Baudelaire with her fluffy white dog at her feet.

The French Olympic logo will never tell your her impeccable skin-care secrets.

The French Olympic logo's child does not have tantrums. He eats dinner with her in restaurants at 10pm, and the French Olympic logo lets him have some of her wine, of course.

The French Olympic logo is appalled at any suggestion she would ever need to use Tinder. All she needs to do to attract a man is lean fetchingly over her Juliette balcony and wave.

The French Olympic logo laughs dismissively about the Sydney Olympic logo. They met briefly in a cheap souvenir shop in Bondi. She found him shallow and grating, too primary…no subtlety.

The French Olympic logo spent a year backpacking up the east coast. She was not impressed with Australia's wine, nor its men.

Oooh… I remember her

The French Olympic logo remembers you, but lost your number when she carelessly dropped her last iPhone down a flight of stairs at the Sorbonne.

The French Olympic Logo has been named as "Co-rospondente" in the divorces of no less than 5 Sorbonne Professors of philosophy

I am going to leave my wife of 29 years, be dis-owned by my daughter and earn the scorn of my fellow Catholics just to sleep on the floor of the bedroom of The French Olympic logo.

The French Olympic logo carries a photo of her grand-aunt in a locket around her neck. It’s a candid shot. Coy. The French Olympic logo never got to meet her Grand-Aunt. Rose-Marie died in a brothel in Tangiers, but is considered within her family as ‘the true beauty.’

I never realized my ugliness till now. When I compared myself with you, I pity myself indeed, poor unhappy monster that I am! I must seem to you like some awful beast, eh? You,-you are a sunbeam, a drop of dew a bird's song! As for me I am something frightful a nondescript object pic.twitter.com/i8CUnCPBEz
