12 things this close-up of the Sun looks like – and it’s mostly tasty treats
The National Science Foundation’s Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope has captured the best close-up image of the Sun ever seen, and it’s quite fascinating.

The telescope, situated on the summit of Haleakala, Maui, in Hawaii, zoomed in on the boiling plasma that covers the Sun, with each of the visible sections being approximately the size of Texas.
But it wasn’t the science or technological achievement that fascinated Twitter, as much as all the things people think the Sun looks like.
