Experts are advising that people keep their cats indoors during the coronavirus lockdown, while also assuring the public that cats can’t transmit the illness. They can, however, catch it.

The reasons for the advice haven’t been made clear, but one could be that cats don’t always come back in when called, and if their humans go out searching, they would be at risk – especially if their cats are like these ones.
