Boris Johnson made a video about helping pupils catch up and everyone made the same joke
Never let it be said that Boris Johnson doesn’t care about schools and the impact that lockdown had on children’s education over the last two years.
He cares so much, in fact, that he made a video saying how much he cares about it and put it on Twitter.
If your child falls behind in maths or English, we are asking schools to intervene and help them get them back on track.
That’s our pledge to every parent.
It’s part of the central mission of this government: to unite and level up across the country. pic.twitter.com/6AFzuoCGOM

And lots of people said the same thing – that noise you can hear is the entire internet facepalming – and these 7 people said it best.

Knew I was doing something wrong these past 17 years! So we need to actually help the children if they are falling behind! Why has no one ever thought of this?! https://t.co/n40Pv3jgBT

To conclude …
Hi everyone. Don’t fall for this.
Schools up and down the country do this every day, week, term, year. It’s called education.
Schools that don’t are in a tiny minority.
Another attempt to undermine and fracture. Don’t let them get away with it. https://t.co/8z9k7x4KRJ
