Lauren Boebert wants the US to become a theocracy – only 9 responses you need
Trump cheerleader Lauren Boebert – she likes the former president almost as much as she loves guns – is fed up with the separation of Church and State over in the US and wants America to become a theocracy.
The extremist Republican congresswoman made the statement before winning her Colorado primary this week. And it’s quite the watch.
“I’m tired of this separation of church and state junk.”
Lauren Boebert went full theocracy, and proclaimed, “The church is supposed to direct the government” per the founding fathers. pic.twitter.com/XW5nXZZ6r8

And these are surely the only 9 responses you need.
1.
Aside from how dangerous and un-American this is, it's also achingly stupid. She has no idea what she's talking about, and neither do the people listening to her.
Imagine Adams and Jefferson hearing this and then deciding maybe that the whole democracy thing wasn't a great idea. https://t.co/B4WBIxhGFU— Tom Nichols (@RadioFreeTom) June 28, 2022

"The Church is supposed to direct the government…And I'm tired of all this separation of church and state junk that's not in the Constitution."
—@RepBoebert"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of Religion."–Amendment I, US Constitution

“The church is supposed to direct the government,” she said. And the crowd applauded.
The biggest threat to our civil liberties & our democracy is my former political party. https://t.co/tW6FAtUGod

Jesus said: “Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” (Matthew 19:24).
If the church directed government, there would be a 100% tax on rich people.
And open borders. (Matthew 25:35). https://t.co/aNAn9gwGl8

ALSO separation of church and state is in the Bill of Rights, which she calls a "stinkin letter"…the same document that holds the Second Amendment she claims is a sacred god given right? You can't have it both ways.
