It’s not the final PMQs of Boris Johnson’s so-called premiership until next week, but the signs are that he won’t bother turning up again so today was his final farewell.
Except it wasn’t Johnson’s typical non-performance that caught the attention, it was what happened before the PM stood up. If you want to know how British democracy is operating right now, look no further.

And just in case you were wondering, the two people expelled were Kenny MacAskill and Neale Hanvey, the only two MPs of Alex Salmond’s Alba party who were trying to launch a protest over Scottish independence.
