This appeal by Beds police prompted some brilliant replies and got even better when the cops joined in
The good people of Bedfordshire police went unintentionally viral after they asked people whether anyone recognised the person involved in an alleged assault in Luton.
Now it goes without saying that the assault is obviously no laughing matter but this particular appeal (and the pictures attached), well, have a look for yourself.
Do you recognise this man? We believe he may be able to help us with our enquiries about an assault in Icknield Way, Luton, on 3 July.
We understand these pictures are low resolution. However, any info, please call 101 or visit https://t.co/0N3s8pVFkp quoting 40/38241/22 pic.twitter.com/8TmBjRJSJh— Bedfordshire Police (@bedspolice) July 18, 2022
And if you’re thinking that people didn’t take it entirely seriously, you’d be absolutely right.
Here’s a flavour of the responses they ended up with.
