GB News furiously doorstepped Greenpeace and it turned into a glorious self-own
Greenpeace responded this week to Rishi Sunak’s determination to ‘max out’ the country’s fossil fuel reserves by draping his Yorkshire home in oil-black fabric.
Today climbers were protesting against Rishi Sunak's plans to approve over 100 new oil and gas licences.
Sunak is pushing us closer to climate breakdown and doing nothing to lower bills or boost our energy security.

The entirely peaceful protest got all the attention Greenpeace hoped it would get – an awful lot – while managing not to interrupt a snooker match or make the traffic on the M25 even more hideous than it already is.
But some people really weren’t happy about it. And in this particular instance, the ‘some people’ we’re talking about is the people of GB News.
So the channel decided to deploy its biggest guns by sending a reporter around to Greenpeace HQ to give them a peace of its mind.
Except it didn’t turn out quite so well as they were presumably hoping it would, surely the most entertaining (and only) two minutes of GB News you’ll watch this week.
Hilarious. GB News sends hapless Ben Leo to Greenpeace HQ to own the wokes and gives them some brilliant on air publicity by mistake pic.twitter.com/7NCBfs8aKv

Well done GB News, another winner!
He keeps making the "why don't you do this in China" point like it's a trump card. Sort of thing that probably goes down a storm in his twitter

Full marks to Greenpeace who dealt with this with dignity and clarity 👏

This is seriously not a parody
This is GB News thinking they are getting their own back on Greenpeace but instead giving them loads of free publicity.#ToriesOut393 #SunakOut283 #GeneralElectionNow #Sunackered https://t.co/FpRZH3uQmX— dave lawrence 🐟🐟🐠 (@dave43law) August 4, 2023

Just in the interests of balance and all that, there was also this.
Take a couple of minutes to watch this absolute gold from @benleo444, giving Greenpeace a taste of their own medicine. Hats off to him, he’s a great talent ⭐️ https://t.co/WcPzp4qBKU

And this.
Well done GB News. Can you imagine the state broadcaster doing this? https://t.co/LW54XFkJlc
