People loved Chloe Kelly’s reaction after scoring England’s winner in the penalty shootout against Nigeria
England’s last 16 women’s World Cup match against Nigeria was an absolute nail biter, England triumphing 4-2 in the penalty shootout after the game finished goalless after extra time.
Not only that, England were reduced to 10 players after Lauren James was sent off in the 85th minute for a stamp on Michelle Alozie.

But that’s not why we’re here (fabulous as it was). It was Kelly’s response after her penalty had gone in, leaving the Nigeria keeper Chiamaka Nnadozie distraught on the turf.
A classy touch from the #Lionesses 💚
Chloe Kelly went over to console Nigeria keeper Chiamaka Nnadozie immediately after she scored the winning penalty for England – talk about respect 👏#FIFAWWC #ENG #NGA #Lionesses pic.twitter.com/cxMfWtapDs

Also huge respect to Chloe Kelly for not really celebrating and going straight over to console Nnadozie, as well as telling the cameras to get lost zooming in on the Nigerians faces#ENG #NGA #ENGNGA pic.twitter.com/DV2YFhQ4SK

England's Chloe Kelly deserves an honourable mention for her presence of mind, opting to console a weeping Nnadozie and asking the cameras to clear off from zooming into the GK's tears. Kelly could've spent that time celebrating her country's win.
Class. pic.twitter.com/OS7sZXefRn
