Nadine Dorries’ second resignation sent her cringeworthy Channel 4 gaffe viral again
Now that Nadine Dorries has finally actually resigned (according to her, at least), people have been reviving some of her greatest hits.
This cringeworthy moment from when she faced the cross-party DCMS Committee to explain her plans and priorities has been a firm favourite.
I would like to mark the sad resignation of Nadine Dorries by fondly recalling the historic occasion on which she learnt how the television station she was planning to sell was funded, live on air. pic.twitter.com/8zGzmBRusx

‘And …so …although it’s …yeah and ..that …’
Great speech.
While nobody expects her to vanish into the ether, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to say “Good riddance.”

May we forget many things about Nadine Dorries. But may we never forget the VERY public moment she realised, that Channel 4 was not in fact, owned by the government.

Nadine Dorries was the epitome of the disgraced former Prime Minister, Boris Johnson's government.
Laughably incompetent, entitled without merit, bewilderingly narcissistic, promoted far beyond their aptitude & most of all, unscrupulously nasty.#GoNadspic.twitter.com/RXQSQNzPsR

Definition of "Speed of light": The rate at which Dorries' tone of condescending superiority vanishes when presented with the fact that she doesn't know what she's talking about, on live TV. https://t.co/Uu0uSAG5tQ

We wouldn’t blame Channel 4 if they threw a party.
Remember we once chatted about how politicians come and go yet journalists often stay much longer @cathynewman?
Given that @NadineDorries tried to destroy Channel 4, because it was decent (aka 'woke'), you can enjoy this one more time, as Nads finally goes! 🍾#Gonads pic.twitter.com/nXmcmdNOjj
