19 brilliantly tongue-in-cheek guesses at the identity of the mysterious political fixer from Nadine Dorries’ book

Despite claiming to be factual, Nadine Dorries‘ new book reads like a Jeffrey Archer thriller, full of intrigue about how a great prime minister was taken down by shadowy background figures for being too honest and too successful.

When you know that the PM in question is Boris Johnson, it makes that whole factual thing incredibly problematic.

One story that has grabbed people’s attention has been her insistence that one man – codenamed Dr No – is pulling the strings of who gets the top job and whether or not they stay in it. An individual so violent and unstable that he allegedly arranged for an ex-girlfriend’s brother’s pet rabbit to be killed and dismembered.

For legal reasons, the name of this man hasn’t been made public during Dorries’ many many recent media interviews, although those working in and around the political scene have guessed the same name.

This lack of a widely known answer has led to much speculation.

Of course, some of that speculation has been tongue-in-cheek. Here are some guesses we really enjoyed
