Labour just won an historic election landslide sending the Tories into an unprecedented meltdown – 27 vote-winning responses

It wasn’t just a landslide Labour win, it was a victory of historic proportions with Sir Keir Starmer’s party predicted to win 413 seats giving it a Commons majority of 160.

The Conservatives are forecast to have just 122 (one hundred and thirty six) MPs when all the counting is done, with Liz Truss losing her 26,000 majority and cabinet ministers out on their backsides including Gillian Keegan, Jacob Rees-Mogg, Grant Shapps and Penny Mordaunt.

It was a great night for the Lib Dems, winning a predicted 71 seats.

If there was a fly in the ointment (insert your own metaphor here) for some people it was the four seats expected to go to Reform UK, with Nigel Farage finally getting into the Commons without a visitor’s pass at his eighth attempt.

And here are our favourite things people said about all – all! – of that.
