Politics Keir Starmer kings speech Liz Truss
Liz Truss is still complaining about the King’s Speech and this is surely the only response you need
Former PM for 15 minutes Liz Truss is busy at Donald Trump’s Republican national convention trying to find someone – anyone! – who recognises her.
But not so busy, it turns out, that she wasn’t listening especially carefully to the King’s Speech – Sir Keir Starmer’s first as prime minister – and the briefing notes that went out with it.
First Truss had a go at what Starmer had to say.

Then she wasn’t happy with the background notes prepared by the Civil Service to accompany it, after they described her disastrous mini budget as ‘disastrous’. The very thought!

‘Has’ not ‘have’ Liz, but anyway. Needless to say, it prompted rather more mockery than it did sympathy, as you might imagine …
I’ve never known a stronger lack of awareness in all of my many days. Both oars are not in the water. https://t.co/lba5Nufzhf

You should absolutely print all these in Comic Sans https://t.co/DRmWlR0hKD

This stuff in the background briefing notes to the king’s speech could have really damaged Liz Truss’s reputation. This will definitely sort it out. https://t.co/plSuIxHJIC

you should write to your MP about this https://t.co/UigWRYdBi9

… but surely no-one put it better than this person.
Fuckwit who fucked everything complains of being described as a fuckwit who fucked everything.
Fuckwit.

Bravo, @Wulf_Helm!
Couldn’t have said it better myself.

To conclude, this.
Could you urgently review why my mortgage repayments went up 27% after your mini budget?

And indeed this.
I think the biggest problem here is that you can still claim up to £115000 a year for life because you were PM for 5 mins to fund these absurd letters.
