A new Sinead O’Connor waxwork has been removed after only one day because, well, just look…

It’s the first anniversary of the untimely death of Irish music legend Sinead O’Connor.

To mark the occasion, the National Waxworks Museum in Dublin decided to unveil a new likeness of O’Connor to the public.

And it turns out nothing does indeed compare to Sinead – certainly not this wax figure. The backlash was so swift and brutal that the museum announced just 24 hours later that it was being removed. ”

According to a report in The Journal:

“After careful consideration and feedback from the public, we have decided to create a new wax figure that more accurately captures Sinead O’Connor’s essence and legacy,” said a spokesperson for the museum.

Still, amidst the outrage (including from O’Connor’s brother, John, who called it “hideous”), people had their fun with the short-lived monstrosity.
