Twitter Aldi comebacks

This fabulous Aldi takedown of a pedantic customer complaint just went wildly viral again and it will never pass its sell-by date

There are certain brands that simply do Twitter so much better than their fellow corporate types. You’ll know the ones we’re talking about – Specsavers, Greggs, Ryanair and, in this case Aldi.

Specifically, this particular takedown of a pedantic customer complaint (since deleted) which has just gone viral again on Twitter.

First up, this is what @housebotanicals had to say about Aldi’s boxes of six Southern Fried No Chicken Wings.

Maybe it was the ‘intentional, yeah?’, maybe it was the emoji at the end, maybe it was the fact they appeared to be complaining about getting one wing too many, or maybe they just don’t like gin. Anyway, whatever it was, something about it really made Aldi fly off the handle.

Forget Southern Fried, they’ve been totally roasted.

It went viral again after it was shared by @heyyitsjanea

… and here’s just a little bit of the love people had for it.

Lots more @AldiUK here.
