Celebrity Armando iannucci elon musk takedowns
Armando Iannucci has been magnificently taking Elon Musk down one tweet at a time and it’s a supremely satisfying read
Just when we thought we couldn’t love Armando Iannucci any more than we already do, he goes and does this.
The man behind everything from Alan Partridge to The Death of Stalin, The Thick of It to Veep and beyond has very kindly been taking the time to offer Elon Musk a hepful pointer or two over on Twitter and very satisfying it is too.
Musk, you’ll probably know already, has been using his expensively acquired platform to spread all sorts of nonsense, such as the UK being on the brink of civil war, that kind of thing.
Civil war is inevitable

And Iannucci has been taking him down one tweet at a time and it’s simply fabulous.
1.
Why does the UK media, with a few exceptions, just parrot the government?

You have no idea what our wonderful country is really like and are, like the planet Mars, both toxic and empty. https://t.co/4MH6KM72bi

Tomorrow morning you’ll see the people who live here tidy these streets up. Small gangs of thugs do not a mass movement make. You’ve been taken in by your own platform, which amplifies noise at the expense of facts.

Only one question remained …
How do you remain so polite and reasonable? It must be exhausting.
— ali culbertson (@ali_culbertson) August 6, 2024
No, constant anger is exhausting. Politeness is actually quite relaxing and does keep the door open to dialogue. Uncontrolled anger slams it shut.
