News Funny fails toys

Bad day? At least you aren’t the Mattel employee who accidentally put an x-rated web address on the Wicked dolls packaging

Mattel is one of the best-known toy companies in the world, with a product list that includes Barbie, Hot Wheels and UNO, so you’d have thought they’d have the slickest of operations and a set of stringent checks in place to ensure that everything about the toy on the shelf would be perfect.

Apparently not.

Oh! Oh no!

The error was in printing wicked.com instead of WickedMovie.com, so we can only hope the little musical theatre fans who get the dolls are less concerned with the packaging than with throwing Elphaba down the stairs to see whether she can defy gravity.

The cock-up went down a lot better online than we suspect it will with parents. Here are some favourite responses.
