Donald Trump’s plans to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America caused a tidal wave of facepalms – 23 favourite reactions

Although there’s still almost two weeks to go until his inauguration, Donald Trump appears to have laid out a plan to expand U.S. territory, whether or not the other parties agree – and they won’t.

He has been badgering Canada about joining the U.S. as a 51st state, claiming it’s what Canadians want and it just makes sense. It prompted this response from the (just about) current Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau.

There isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that Canada would become part of the United States. Workers and communities in both our countries benefit from being each other’s biggest trading and security partner.

After Donald Trump Jr. went on a fact-finding mission to Greenland, in support of his dad’s bid to make Greenland part of the U.S., the ‘MAGA’ he found there came under more scrutiny than it could stand.

He wants the Panama Canal back, and he’s prepared to use force to take it.

Then there’s the Gulf of Mexico …for now.

It seems that Marjorie Taylor Greene is on it, which means it’s not getting done and that Jewish Space Lasers will be blamed when it doesn’t.

Whatever else you can say about Trump – and most of it would get us shut down – he knows how to grab the attention.
